SEC: Voter turnout 3% until 9:15 am
- Voter turnout in Sunday’s local elections stands at 3% until 9:15 am, with 41,890 citizens having voted, State Election Commission (SEC) president Boris Kondarko said at a press conference, sharing data from 2,672 polling stations (76.91%) out of a total of 1,394,158 registered voters.
Skopje, 19 October 2025 (MIA) – Voter turnout in Sunday’s local elections stands at 3% until 9:15 am, with 41,890 citizens having voted, State Election Commission (SEC) president Boris Kondarko said at a press conference, sharing data from 2,672 polling stations (76.91%) out of a total of 1,394,158 registered voters.
He reiterated that all polling stations opened on time and that the voting process is proceeding without problems.
“So far, the SEC has not received any reports on the voting process from any polling station or from any municipal election commission,” Kondarko said.
In Sunday’s local elections, voting is taking place at 3,474 polling stations, where 1,832,415 citizens are eligible to cast their votes until 7 pm.
A total of 309 mayoral candidates are running in the 2025 local elections, which also feature 576 lists of municipal council members with a total of 10,490 candidates.
