SEC: VMRO-DPMNE's Gjorgjievski leading in Skopje mayor vote, Levica's Mecinovikj second
Skopje, 20 October 2025 (MIA) - According to the State Election Commission (SEC) preliminary results, VMRO-DPMNE Skopje mayor candidate Orce Gjorgjievski is leading with 39.72% of votes, followed by Amar Mecinovikj (Levica) - 13.09%, Bashkim Bakiu (Vlen) with 12.36%, Kaja Shukova (SDSM) - 11.29% and Skender Rexhepi (NAI) - 11.03%.
The VMRO-DPMNE mayor candidates in the Skopje municipalities of Aerodrom, Butel, Gazi Baba, Gjorche Petrov, Karposh and Kisela Voda are also in the lead.
SDSM is leading in Centar, Vlen in Chair and Saraj, while Union of Roma in Shuto Orizari.
