SEC: 7.935 sick and infirm cast their vote by 8:30 pm, 1.400 inmates by 6:30 pm

Skopje, 18 October 2025 (MIA) – Out of the total 8.856 sick or infirm citizens eligible to vote in the local elections, 7.935 cast their ballot by 8:30 PM on Saturday. Out of the 2.162 citizens serving prison sentences or under house arrest, 1.400 had voted by 6:30 PM, the State Election Commission (SEC) said on Saturday evening.
In non-family facilities, 297 people cast their vote by 6:30 PM, out of 442.
“The voting by all these categories of voters proceeded smoothly and without any issues or irregularities,” the SEC said.
The SEC noted that the votes will be counted after polls close across the country on Sunday and published with the overall results.
