Red Cross confirms another payment in support for Kochani nightclub fire victims

Skopje, 17 June 2025 (MIA) - The Red Cross of the Republic of North Macedonia said Tuesday that in the period between March 16 and June 16, 2025, it has collected a total of Mden 153.93 million or (EUR 2.50 million) of humanitarian assistance for the victims of the fire in Kochani and their families.
According to the Red Cross, funds have been transferred to 156 people on Tuesday, divided into 5 categories, based on evaluation of the injured and their health condition requirements, done by a working group of the Ministry of Health.
"In the coming days, funds will be transferred to another 11 people regarding whom the necessary documents, i.e. statements and consent for the use of personal data, need to be provided, given that they have not been covered by the previous transfers of funds," the Red Cross said in a press release, adding that the total transfer of funds to the victims so far, i.e. until June 17, 2025, amounts to over 147 million denars.
The Red Cross announces opening of a Regional Centre for Mental Health and Psychosocial Support in Kochani, for the affected population in the eastern part of the country.
