Skopje, 14 May 2026 (MIA) – Conveying a message of availability and closeness to the citizens, President Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova on Thursday opened the President’s People’s Office in Skopje, on Dimitrie Chupovski street number 7. The new office has been created to be an open place for all – the young, adults and pensioners – and a place where dialogue, debate and democratic culture should be nurtured, according to her.
“I thought it’s time for place in downtown Skopje to be available to the citizens every at all times. The Vodno [presidential residence] is far away, not all people can come there. People are passing by here every day and we thought this office could be the place where people can visit,” she stated.
The president said she was inspired mostly by young people.
“I was greatly inspired after meeting with young people, many students from elementary, secondary schools and faculties have asked about it. There are young people who cannot showcase their talents due to the lack of venues. We thought this is suitable for hosting exhibits, debates, concerts, to serve as a space where they can volunteer,” Siljanovska-Davkova said.
People’s offices will open in other cities, too, she announced. “This is only the beginning,” stressed Siljanovska-Davkova.
