Skopje, 6 November 2025 (MIA) - President Gordana Siljanovska Davkova received Thursday the credentials of the newly appointed Ambassador of the People's Republic of China, Jiang Xiaoyan. 

Siljanovska Davkova and Xiaoyan expressed satisfaction with the quality of Macedonian-Chinese relations, based on mutual respect and understanding, the President's Office said in a press release.

For Siljanovska Davkova, swift integration in the European Union is a Macedonian strategic priority, and dialogue is the only way to resolve regional and global issues and challenges.

Conveying warm greetings from President Xi Jinping and expressions of highest respect from the Chinese Government and people, the Chinese Ambassador highlighted that the People's Republic of China is a sincere, trustworthy and reliable friend who respects the sovereignty of the Macedonian state and the dignity and integrity of the Macedonian people.

President Siljanovska Davkova, reads the press release, welcomed the activities of the Department of Macedonian Language at Beijing Foreign Studies University.

"Interlocutors recognized untapped potential for expanding and deepening cooperation in the economy, education, culture, science and tourism. The two believe in and support effective multilateralism, the decision-making centre of which will be the reformed United Nations," the press release adds.
