Shtip, 28 May 2026 (MIA) - President and Commander-in-Chief Gordana Siljanovska Davkova attended a presentation of military equipment, army vehicles and capabilities of Army units in Shtip's City Stadium on Thursday, saying recent exercise "Flash 26" raffirmed the Army's high level of training.

"Flash 26 demonstrated that the light infantry battalion is compatible to other NATO units. We received a seal of excellence and quality, which shows that the Army is the pillar of peace and security in time of peace and war, but also in time of natural disasters," said President Siljanovska Davkova.

Army Chief of Staff, Major-General Sashko Lafchiski said the Army is committed to the citizens and ready to act when needed.

"Our task is to be here for the citizens. Let me extend my gratitude to the Ministry of Defense, the Government, all institutions that have supported us throughout the years," said General Lafchiski.

During the event, Shtip citizens had the opportunity to see first-hand the Army's role in the country's protection and security.
