Possible overland evacuation of Macedonian nationals from UAE via Saudi Arabia
- The Embassy of the Republic of North Macedonia in Abu Dhabi, in cooperation with the authorities of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, is considering the possibility of repatriating and evacuating our citizens who are currently in the United Arab Emirates and across the land border to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and from there by aircraft departing from the territory of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, as stated in the social media post.

Skopje, 2 March 2026 (MIA) – The Embassy of the Republic of North Macedonia in Abu Dhabi, in cooperation with the authorities of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, is considering the possibility of repatriating and evacuating our citizens who are currently in the United Arab Emirates and across the land border to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and from there by aircraft departing from the territory of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, as stated in the social media post.
“Transport from the United Arab Emirates to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia would take place overland by bus and would last from 13 to 15 hours. Through a formal request/Note from the Embassy and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs based on a submitted list, the authorities of Saudi Arabia would issue humanitarian visas for citizens of North Macedonia at the border crossing itself,” reads the post.
