Skopje, 20 June 2025 (MIA) - As of Monday, the Ponikva resort will admit patients from the Kochani nightclub fire, whereas conditions in the town's hospital are improving, heard a press conference in the Government on Friday.

Kochani Hospital acting director Katerina Panikj-Mirchovska said the required burn creams and stickers that patients asked for a long time have arrived in the facility, in coordination with the Government.

Pulmonologists will do checkups in the Kochani Hospital, with 58 of the injured already provided with compression garments, which allows patients to perform physical medicine exercises and their daily tasks, as well as protect them from sunlight.

Government Spokeswoman Marija Miteva said the facilities for physical medicine in the Kochani Hospital are currently rehabilitated and works are to be completed in 3-4 weeks, with improvements already made in Ponikva as well.

"Citizens are entitled to contemporary conditions and institutions are obligated to provide them. What we are seeing today once again confirms our commitment to Kochani," said Miteva.
