PM Mickoski to attend 62nd Munich Security Conference

Skopje, 12 February 2026 (MIA) — Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski is traveling Friday to Germany to participate in the 62nd Munich Security Conference.


According to an official press release, PM Mickoski will be joined by Minister of Defense Vlado Misajlovski, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade Timcho Mucunski and Minister of Interior Panche Toshkovski.


As part of the conference, several bilateral meetings have been scheduled with European leaders as well as high-ranking representatives and heads of international security organizations.


The talks will focus on regional geopolitical stability and the role of North Macedonia as a factor of stability in the Western Balkans and an active partner in NATO.


The PM, according to the release, will reaffirm the country's position on the need for a predictable and fair process of accession to the European Union, without additional bilateral conditions.


On the sidelines of the conference, the government delegation will also meet with EU representatives as well as with heads of state and government, the release said. mr/
