Skopje, 18 October 2022 (MIA) – Prime Minister Dimitar Kovachevski together with Minister of Finance Fatmir Besimi, Minister of Transport and Communications Blagoj Bochvarski and Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Economy Ljupcho Nikolovski, are on a working visit to Abu Dhabi, the United Arab Emirates. According to a government press release, the goal of the visit is to establish direct communication with investors and hold meetings with representatives of investment funds in order to improve the economic activity of the country amidst the largest global economic and energy crisis. As part of the visit, Prime Minister Kovachevski, together with the ministers, will present the country’s macroeconomic policies, the development goals of the country and investment opportunities. To that end, they will hold several bilateral meetings with investment funds representatives, which are an extension to the already established cooperation, in order to achieve concrete results. The possibility of using the development funds which, under more favorable conditions, are investing in projects in the fields of infrastructure, agribusiness, tourism and energy with the focus on renewable sources, will be discussed. “Despite the global economic and energy crisis and the current events in Ukraine and their global impact, the Government remains committed to achieving economic growth over 5 percent in the coming years, based on investment and consumption growth,” said the Government in the press release. ad/nn/
