Skopje, 28 October 2025 (MIA) – Finance Minister Gordana Dimitrieska-Kochoska told journalists Tuesday she expects pensions to continue to rise in 2026, given that the average wage is naturally increasing.
At a press conference presenting the 2026 draft budget, the Finance Minister said that, based on current calculations, pensions are expected to increase by Mden 1.000 in March, while the government will decide later whether the September increase will be linear.
“Pensioners have just received an increase of Mden 1.000, according to projections, the same amount is expected in March next year and again in September, considering that the average wage is naturally rising. Due to the labor shortage and the broader economic dynamics, we anticipate continued pension growth, but it will be in accordance with the law,” Dimitrieska-Kochoska said.
