Over 200 people underwent tests in two days as part of Trubarevo population screening: minister

Skopje, 26 September 2025 (MIA) – Eight people were referred to the Clinic of Pulmonology in Skopje to be checked for their chronic diseases after over 100 people, residents of Skopje’s Trubarevo, underwent medical tests yesterday.
According to information of the Clinic of Pulmonology teams, the patients reported difficulty breathing and chest pain, said Health Minister Azir Aliu.
Patients with high blood pressure were also detected as part of the Trubarevo population screening, who were advised to see their GPs for further tests.
“The Health Ministry in cooperation with the Clinic of Pulmonology organized a two-day screening of the population of Trubarevo in order to detect possible respiratory symptoms. The screening included a check-up, pulse measurement, saturation and vital capacity assessment. The screening recorded a huge turnout with over 200 people undergoing tests in two days. It was welcomed by the local residents. In the coming period, we will continue to follow the situation in cooperation with the Clinic of Pulmonology and all competent institutions," said Minister Aliu.
