Opposition MPs’ questions in Parliament

Skopje, 18 November 2025 (MIA) - Parliament is set to hold its first plenary session Tuesday after the local elections. Before the 70th session, the PM and ministers will answer opposition MPs’ questions for two hours.

The proposed agenda for the 70th session includes: verification of MPs’ mandates; a proposal to appoint a member of the Fiscal Council; election of members to the National Council for Higher Education and Scientific Research; election of members to the National Council for Higher Education and Scientific Research; a proposal to elect a member of the Council for the Prevention of Juvenile Delinquency and Child Justice; the draft law ratifying the Agreement between the Government of North Macedonia and the Government of Azerbaijan on visa exemption for diplomatic and official passport holders; and the draft law ratifying the amendments to the Convention on a common transit procedure.

The agenda for the first reading includes amendments to the law on the rights of communities representing less than 20 percent of the population, the law on audio and audiovisual media services, the VAT law, and the law on border control, along with a draft law to convert the state’s public-levy claims into permanent capital in the Public Enterprise that manages state-owned sports facilities in Skopje.

Once the 70th session ends, Parliament is scheduled to resume the 19th session, with two items left on the agenda: the 2025 Financial Plan of the Agency for Supervision of Fully Funded Pension Insurance and the proposed decision approving the monthly fee that the Agency will charge pension companies in 2025.
