Ohrid hosts conference of Council of Ministers of Culture of South East Europe

Skopje, 12 December 2025 (MIA) – A conference of the Council of Ministers of Culture of South East Europe, focused on strengthening of culture to benefit sustainable development, will be held Friday in Ohrid.

Opening remarks will be delivered by Minister of Culture and Tourism Zoran Ljutkov. The event will also see addresses by Magdalena Landry, Director of the UNESCO Regional Bureau for Science and Culture in Europe, based in Venice, and culture ministers, deputy ministers and officials from SEE countries.

The Ohrid declaration “Sustainable Culture Models for the Future” is expected to be adopted at the conference. 

The Republic of Macedonia took over the presidency of the Council of Ministers of Culture of South East Europe - Enhancing Culture for Sustainable Development (CoMoCoSEE), in 2024 during a ministerial conference, held in Montenegro’s Herceg Novi.
