October 11 State Award given at ceremony in Parliament

Skopje, 11 October 2025 (MIA) - The October 11 State Award for 2025 was given to actress Teuta Ajdini-Jegeni, choir conductor Letka Dimovska Polizova, producer Ivo Jankoski, chemist Gligor Jovanovski and mechanical engineer Konstantin Dimitrov at a ceremony held earlier Saturday in Parliament.

 

The October 11 State Award is given for outstanding achievements in the fields of science, art, economy and other areas of public interest. 

 

 

The award committee's chair, Faculty of Medicine dean Svetozar Antovikj, presented the awards to the winners encouraging them "to follow in the steps of our ancestors through science, culture, art, education and social responsibility."

 

"The award winners are living proof that the revolutionary spirit does not fade away, but is transformed into ideas, deeds and values ​​that are investments in our future," Antovikj said.

 

 

Dimitrov thanked the state on behalf of the award winners.

 

"This award is a sign that through persistent work, love for our homeland and faith in the future, we can reach as far as the stars.

 

"May this be an incentive for all future generations and for Macedonia to grow and rise through knowledge, art and humanity," Dimitrov said. mr/
