Nikoloski: Development of road infrastructure and networking of transporters crucial for business sector

Skopje, 23 September 2025 (MIA) - We support you because you are the fundamental generator of the business sector, Deputy PM and Transport Minister Aleksandar Nikoloski told a meeting with transporters in Skopje on Tuesday.

Minister Nikoloski said the 6.1-percent growth of the transport and logistics indicator in the second quarter of 2025 is very positive.

"This shows that this industry is developing and there is still room for growth. In this regard, we are undertaking many measures, including the manner of distributing CEMT permits and your access to the ministry," said Nikoloski.

He presented the development plans involving a robust road and railway network.

"The idea is for Macedonia to use the potential as a natural crossroad of pan-European Corridors VIII and X, by developing a robust road and railway network that serves these corridors," noted Nikoloski.

The meeting, organized by association Makam-Trans, highlighted the steps undertaken to ensure better conditions for companies operating in the sector, including job protection and digitalization of processes.

A mini-fair for promotion of the services and products offered by members and associates of Makam-Trans took place at the meeting sidelines.
