Mucunski: Unity the strongest tool for confronting shared threats

Skopje, 25 June 2025 (MIA) - Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade Timcho Mucunski, who is at the NATO Summit in The Hague as part of a state delegation headed by President Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova, attended on Tuesday evening a NATO-Ukraine Council working dinner alongside foreign ministers from other member states, as well as Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha, and the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and European Commission Vice-President, Kaja Kallas.
In a social media post, Mucunski said he addressed the event, stressing that coherence and unity are the strongest tools for confronting shared threats and challenges.
“I emphasized that the need to do more and invest more in our defensive capacities must remain a number one priority for all of us, with continued coordination being the sole way to achieve joint success. I also underscored the importance of reaching a just and lasting solution for Ukraine, welcoming initiatives for direct meeting between the representatives of Ukraine and Russia, backed by the US and European allies. I voiced readiness to provide further assistance, in line with the capacities and capabilities at our disposal,” the Foreign Minister said in a post on his official Facebook page.
