Mucunski meets with Macedonians in Littlehampton: Together we build stronger ties and a better country

Skopje, 17 July 2025 (MIA) – During his official visit to the United Kingdom, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade Timcho Mucunski met with the Macedonian community in Littlehampton at the St. George church.

In a Facebook post, Mucunski said that during his address to the Macedonian community, he underlined their role as a living bridge between the two countries.

“Together, we are building stronger ties and contributing to a better country. Their hard work, achievements, and love for the homeland are an inspiration to us all. Their integration into British society, scientific work, business sector, and cultural life is further proof that the Macedonian identity is preserved even beyond our country’s borders. I informed them about the current activities of the Government and the Ministry aimed at strengthening ties with the diaspora, particularly in the areas of cultural cooperation, youth support, and the creation of new opportunities for connection with the homeland. I expressed gratitude for their engagement and emphasized the need to further enhance communication and cooperation,” Mucunski stated in his Facebook post.

Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade Timcho Mucunski and Defence Minister Vlado Misajlovski met Wednesday with the United Kingdom’s Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Services, Small Business and Exports, Gareth Thomas, as part of their working visit to London.
The meeting focused on opportunities for economic cooperation, as well as cooperation around investments, boosting trade, infrastructure projects, and the improvement and modernization of healthcare capacities.

Mucunski is paying a three-day working visit to the United Kingdom, at the invitation of Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, David Lammy.

The visit is to intensify overall bilateral relations by strengthening political dialogue and deepening economic cooperation between the two countries, especially after the signing of the investment partnership agreement. Talks will focus on promoting bilateral relations, North Macedonia's integration in the EU, as well as exchanging views on key regional, European and global issues.
