Skopje, 27 November 2025 (MIA) - Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, Timcho Mucunski, is paying a working visit to Vilnius, Lithuania, from Wednesday to Saturday. As part of the first day of his visit, he held a meeting with his host, Foreign Minister Kęstutis Budrys.

Both ministers voiced their satisfaction that the visit is being held in the year in which the two countries celebrate 30 years of diplomatic ties. They also emphasized their commitment to strengthening partnership and cooperation in several areas of mutual interest, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade said in a press release.

The ministers discussed bilateral cooperation, multilateral coordination, and NATO partnership. They placed special emphasis on European integration and the need for stronger joint efforts to speed up the process, especially with Lithuania soon assuming the EU Council presidency.

Mucunski conveyed his appreciation for Lithuania’s ongoing support, and for the solidarity and aid provided to the country after the Kochani nightclub fire.

They also discussed current security issues, including the situation in Ukraine and the challenges related to European security and regional stability, reads the press release.
