More than 150 Macedonian nationals stranded in affected areas contacted Tel Aviv, Doha and Abu Dhabi embassies

Skopje, 2 March 2026 (MIA) – The number of Macedonian nationals who have reported being stranded in the affected areas in the Middle East is growing. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade told MIA yesterday that so far more than 150 Macedonian nationals had contacted the embassies in Tel Aviv, Doha and Abu Dhabi seeking information on possible evacuation.

The Ministry is in constant contact with all of them and if they want to be evacuated, steps will be taken to provide assistance for their safe return, it said. 

“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade through its direct line and the diplomatic offices remains at full disposal to the citizens. We are once again urging all our citizens currently in the countries in the region to abide by the instruction of the local security authorities,” it says Sunday. 

On Saturday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade formed crisis headquarters available 24/7 to the citizens for all queries.
