Skopje, 17 August 2025 (MIA) - The Ministry of Interior (MoI) denies allegations put forward by some news portals and social networks that the police on Saturday, August 16, had not allowed entry in Kochani to citizens who wanted to participate in the protest "March for the Angels".
According to the MoI, no citizen was prevented from entering Kochani.
The Ministry appeals against the spread of disinformation that disturbs citizens.
"In order to exercise its legal powers, including the safe conduct of the "March for the Angels" protest in Kochani, the Shtip Police conducted regular traffic controls (vehicles and drivers) in the Shtip Police area, including the city of Kochani. However, no citizen who underwent a regular traffic control was deprived of the right to freely participate in the "March for the Angels" protest and was not held back for more than the time normally required for police control. We appeal against the spread of disinformation that disturbs citizens," the MoI said in a statement.
Families of the victims in the fatal fire at the “Pulse” nightclub held Saturday the eighteenth "March for the Angels" in Kochani, demanding justice.
