Skopje 25 June 2025 (MIA) - At today's session of the NATO Summit in The Hague we took a decision to increase defense spending that will result in new and sophisticated equipment for the Army and professionalism of troops, says Defense Minister Vlado Misajlovski.

"Macedonia is committed to this decision. Funds will gradually increase, and for us it is exceptionally important that the defense budget means fulfillment of the NATO capability targets," Minister Misajlovski wrote in a Facebook post.

Misajlovski, President Gordana Siljanovska Davkova, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade Timcho Mucunski and Army Chief of Staff, Major-General Sashko Lafchiski took part at the NATO Summit in The Hague on Wednesday.

"NATO is the most powerful Alliance in history, and rising investments will ensure this is the case for the future as well," says Misajlovski.
