Skopje, 7 October 2025 (MIA) - Minister of Energy, Mining and Mineral Resources, Sanja Bozhinovska, held a working meeting with British Ambassador Matthew Lawson. Country Director at the Department for International Trade in the British Embassy Skopje, Nikola Stojanoski, as well as representatives of Anglo American, a leading global mining company, also attended the meeting, the Ministry of Energy, Mining and Mineral Resources said in a press release on Tuesday. 

"The meeting was held in the spirit of ongoing and constructive cooperation between Macedonia and the United Kingdom in the area of energy and mining. Talks focused on the Ministry's current activities as well as opportunities for exchange of experience and good practices in natural resource management and energy transition," reads the press release.  

Minister Bozhinovska highlighted the excellent cooperation with the British Embassy, ​​as an important partner in the processes of developing energy policies, promoting regulation and encouraging sustainable practices in the sector.

"Ambassador Lawson and representatives of Anglo American welcomed the cooperation with the Ministry so far, expressing interest in further institutional dialogue and joint initiatives aimed at strengthening bilateral relations," the press release adds.
