Minchev - Dukaj: Strengthening of public administration through regional cooperation

Skopje, 1 October 2025 (MIA) - Minister of Public Administration Goran Minchev met Wednesday with Montenegro counterpart Maraš Dukaj and discussed the strengthening of bilateral cooperation in the field of public administration.

Ministers Minchev and Dukaj exchanged visions and ideas on enhancement of reform processes and application of modern methodologies, contributing to a more efficient, transparent and citizen-oriented administration, the Ministry of Public Administration said in a press release.

"Public administration reform is not just a domestic task but also an external signal - that our institutions are ready for the European standards, modern management and regional partnerships. This cooperation reaffirms our commitment for transparency, efficiency and mutual support on the EU integration path," said Minchev.

Back in June, the two ministries signed a memorandum of cooperation, which serves as a solid foundation for strategic and continued communication, joint implementation of projects and initiatives, supported by international partners and the EU.

"In line with the strategic commitment for an efficient, modern and citizen-oriented public administration, we have recognized the importance of regional cooperation and exchange of best practices in the field. The memorandum represents a significant step forward in strengthening the institutional capacities and enhancement of bilateral partnership," said Dukaj.

The Ministry of Public Administration remains committed to promoting international cooperation and building partnerships that result in professional and more efficient institutions, reads the press release.
