Skopje, 21 July 2025 (MIA) – Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski said that they will not initiate the dismissal of the President of the State Commission for the Prevention of Corruption (SCPC), Tatjana Dimitrovska, in Parliament, when asked whether his party would submit a request for dismissal considering that the ruling majority leads the parliamentary committee.
He said that there are individuals who turn politics into show and emphasized that there is a moral responsibility.
“I sense that certain individuals are attempting to turn politics into a form of entertainment. What difference does it make whether VMRO-DPMNE or any political party submits a proposal? As you’ve seen, we filed motions regarding the Judicial Council, dismissals were made, yet those members remain in office, receiving thousands of euros at the expense of citizens. Show business should be left to entertainers; politics is the domain of politicians. There is a moral obligation to act responsibly, if someone feels it, they should resign and step away from their post. As for criminal liability, that falls under the jurisdiction of the public prosecutors and the courts, let them pursue it if such responsibility exists. But turning Parliament into a stage for theatrics, only to hear later that it carries no constitutional weight, we no longer intend to take part in such matters,” Mickoski told reporters in Tetovo on Monday.
As he stated, there are two types of responsibility in life — moral and criminal.
“One is moral, when a person should step down after making a mistake while holding office, and the other is criminal responsibility, if a crime has been committed,” Mickoski added.
