Skopje, 12 February 2026 (MIA) – Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski expects that annual inflation will stabilize below three percent, accompanied by a negative monthly trend. He notes that this is the result of policies aimed at safeguarding citizens’ living standards and consolidating the country’s situation. Finally the state is consolidated and will develop as citizens wish, he said.
“As I have mentioned several times this year, I expect annual inflation to stabilize below three percent. We are likely to see a slight negative monthly trend, meaning a decline compared to last year. I anticipate this year will be around three percent, perhaps a bit above or below, with a monthly downward trend,” he told reporters after laying the cornerstone for a sports hall at Dimo Hadzi Dimov primary school in Vlae, Karposh municipality.
According to Mickoski, the relevant figures will be released in the coming days.
“We are implementing responsible policies that prioritize citizens’ living standards. This is the approach we have taken to consolidate the state. From a chaotic situation with failed institutions and a broken system, we have reached a point of consolidation. Now we need to develop Macedonia according to citizens’ wishes,” he added.
