Mickoski: SDSM is basing its campaign on Filipche’s teacher, Zoran Zaev, who only knows how to defend his investments, including one in Dubai

Berovo, 15 October 2025 (MIA) – VMRO-DPMNE leader Hristijan Mickoski addressed a campaign rally on Wednesday in Berovo, stressing that the party’s campaign is precise, with clear deadlines and measures suited to the needs of the citizens, while adding that the opposition has no concrete projects and is running a campaign based “on their teacher and guru, Zoran Zaev”.
“In this election, we came out with a precise program, with deadlines, for specific issues necessary for the citizens, while from them we literally couldn’t hear a single project. But we did hear about new gifts to our eastern neighbor, we heard about unprincipled coalitions, we heard about cooperation with DUI, we heard that the judges and prosecutors – those that have a 2% rating – were professionals. And not only did we hear, but we also see how their campaign relies entirely on the political guru of their leader, Venko Filipche, and that is Zoran Zaev. He said he would retire from politics, yet we see how he is desperately fighting to protect his investment in SDSM, just like he protects his investments in Dubai. For these people, politics is business, but for us, it is a way to help the citizens,” Mickoski said.
Mickoski said SDSM is only fighting for businesses, tenders, agreements, and dishonest profits, instead of for the interests of the citizens, adding that their political end and reckoning with justice are nearing.
“The home they fight for is made of businesses, tenders, backroom deals, marijuana factories, and the desire to profit in a dishonest and criminal way. And they know that with every vote more, with every bit of support more for us, they are finished, and that’s how they look into the face of their political end. And this political end means facing what they fear most: justice. Everything I am telling you, my dear friends, you could see like a film reel over the past two and a half weeks of this campaign for the first round of the local elections. It is absolutely clear that with one choice we move forward, and with the other we go backward. Just remember those seven years when SDSM and DUI were in power. With one option, you fight for your neighborhood, for your municipality, and our shared future; with the other, you fight for their personal interests. That’s why in these elections it is crucial and decisive that you go out and vote,” Mickoski said.
The VMRO-DPMNE leader urged the citizens of Berovo to turn up to the polls on October 19 and back the party’s mayoral candidate Petar Ruzhinski.
