Skopje, 14 August 2025 (MIA) – Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski said Thursday that the Ministry of Energy, Mining and Mineral Resources has issued a public call for applications from families meeting the requirements to receive subsidies for their electricity bills, with Mden 40 million allocated for this purpose.
“What I can also say is that during several electricity regulation periods under this Government, we have not increased the price of electricity for households, which is not the case in the region. If you look at other countries, you will see that electricity prices have increased by 15, 20, and in some neighbouring countries even 30 percent,” Mickoski said.
Mickoski added that according to the Eurostat and all other parameters, our country is among those in Europe with the lowest household electricity prices.
Financial support for electricity consumption is available to persons with severe or profound intellectual disabilities, with the most severe physical disabilities, as well as those who are completely blind or completely deaf. The programme provides monthly financial aid of Mden 1,000 for a period of 12 months through direct reductions on electricity bills.
