Skopje, 29 July 2025 (MIA) - Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski said Tuesday that both gross and net average salaries have increased by more than 11 percent, describing this as clear evidence that the opposition is spreading untruths.
Mickoski responding to a reporter’s question during a visit to Kuzman Josifovski-Pitu student dormitory, said that, despite the recorded increase, the current level of average salaries is still insufficient and underscored the government's commitment to further increasing average salaries.
“We believe the average salary should be even higher, and that’s what the government remains focused on. But the fact that both gross and net salaries have risen by more than 11 percent disproves the opposition's persistent false narratives, spreading misinformation that salaries haven't increased or have stagnated. These latest data are enough to prove that the opposition not only lies, but constantly speculates, fabricates and achieves nothing. That is exactly why the situation in the opposition is what it is, and why the people have lost trust in them,” he said.
While visiting the Kuzman Josifovski-Pitu student dormitory in Skopje, PM Mickoski stated that the government remains focused on securing even higher incomes for workers, underscoring the commitment to meeting citizens’ expectations.
