Skopje, 22 July 2025 (MIA) - Quizzed about the United States urging European countries to introduce tariffs of 100% on Russian products, Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski told journalists Tuesday that the country is fully aligned with the European Union’s Common Foreign and Security Policy and will follow their decision on the issue.
“We are the first country in the region that is 100% aligned with the EU’s Common Foreign and Security Policy, so we will follow this process and if such a decision is adopted, as a country, we will implement it,” Mickoski said at a press conference.
U.S. President Donald Trump said last week he would introduce tariffs of 100% on Russia if the country fails to reach a peace settlement with Ukraine by September.
