Mickoski announces government reshuiffle after October local elections

Skopje, 23 August 2025 (MIA) – We will change and improve based on the needs and demands of the citizens. Those who know me well know that no state post is guaranteed or eternal, VMRO-DPMNE leader Hristijan Mickoski said Saturday speaking at the fair of mayors.

As a result, he stressed, the party will undergo changes and the government will undergo reshuffle to improve its capacities.

“We already know very well how it can be even stronger and braver with increased potential. That does not mean that the people who will be replaced were bad or negligent, but the government always needs increased capacity, an even stronger pace for the changes we are making. And, we are on the path of change, on the path of building change and for the first time in a long time, of building joint successes that will bring a better future and the chance that generations and generations of young people have been waiting for,” noted Mickoski.

The coming local elections, he said, won’t open the door for DUI to join the government.

“Macedonia will say No to SDS and DUI.”

“DUI will be in opposition for a long time because it has failed to learn the lesson. We didn’t put them in opposition to come back in the government without learning any lesson. They belong there with their coalition partner in crime and the attacks on Macedonia, SDSM,” said Mickoski.

While talking about accountability in politics, the VMRO-DPMNE leader said, we have to reveal the truth about the dirty games being prepared behind closed doors.

“It’s becoming more and more evident that DUI and SDS have a secret plan against the people, not for the people. It is a scenario conceived and coordinated by the two parties – a scenario of chaos, of political fog and of manipulation. With an inflation of independent candidates and phantom lists they want to ruin the election process, to confuse voters and play games with democracy all the while blurring the clear picture of their historic defeat that is coming,” said Mickoski.
