Mickoski – Macut: Enhancing bilateral ties, economic cooperation, gas and corridor connectivity with Serbia

Skopje, 3 October 2025 (MIA) - Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski and his Serbian counterpart Đuro Macut held a meeting Friday in Skopje discussing gas and corridor connectivity between Macedonia and Serbia.

“We discussed gas and corridor connectivity, as well as the enhancement of economic cooperation between the two countries. We are confident that joint projects will contribute to stronger ties and a better future for our citizens,” wrote Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski in a post on his official Facebook page. 

In a press release, the Government said the two prime ministers also spoke about enhancing bilateral ties, economic cooperation, and infrastructural connectivity. An emphasis was placed on trade, joint energy projects, and facilitating the movement of people and goods.

Prime Minister Mickoski said Serbia is a sincere partner and friend, with which the country shares a vision for a stable, secure, and prosperous Balkan. 

Prime Minister Macut voiced his support for the country’s reforms and stressed that Belgrade and Skopje will continue to cooperate on joint projects in the interest of the two countries. Both parties agreed the enhancement of friendly ties between the two is a significant contribution to regional stability and the European perspective of the Western Balkans.
