Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt, 13 October 2025 (dpa/MIA) - US President Donald Trump and other mediators signed the document on the ceasefire between Israel and Hamas in the Gaza Strip during a ceremony in Egypt on Monday.
Trump and the leaders of Egypt, Qatar and Turkey signed a joint declaration in the Red Sea resort of Sharm el-Sheikh, which is intended to consolidate the ceasefire, according to Egyptian statements.
The summit meeting is meant to mark the end of the war in the Gaza Strip.
At the signing, Trump, Qatar's Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Egypt's Abdel-Fattah al-Sissi and Turkey's Recep Tayyip Erdoğan sat in a hall with other world leaders behind them.
Among them were German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, French President Emmanuel Macron and Jordan's King Abdullah II.
The document sets out a whole series of rules and regulations and is very comprehensive, Trump said.
The exact content was not initially disclosed.

"You are the only one capable of achieving peace in the region," al-Sissi said during a meeting with Trump shortly before the signing.
He also asked Trump for support for a planned conference on the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip, which Egypt wants to host together with Germany.
According to Egyptian sources, the conference is to take place in November in Cairo. However, a specific date has not yet been set.
