Kavadarci, 9 June 2026 (MIA) - Macedonian and Ukrainian companies took part in a business forum in Kavadarci on Tuesday, attended by Mayor Mitko Janchev and Ukrainian Ambassador Larisa Dir.

Mayor Janchev said the event represented an opportunity to build bridges of cooperation, exchange experiences, ideas and visions, adding that the forum aimed at creating new partnerships that would contribute to economic development and prosperity of both countries, which are tied by sincere friendship, based on mutual respect, understanding, and support.

"We believe that the business community plays an important role in further strengthening these ties through concrete projects, investments, and long-term partnerships," said Janchev.

According to him, Kavadarci-based companies have the knowledge, experience, and potential for successful international cooperation, voicing assurance that Ukrainian companies bring valuable experience and opportunities that both sides can learn from.

"I believe that today's discussions will result in new partnerships that bring benefits to companies, local communities, and countries' economies," noted Janchev.

Ukrainian Ambassador Dir expressed hope that the event would contribute to the development of bilateral trade relations.
