Skopje, 13 April 2026 (MIA) - The Macedonian traffic police, a member of the European Roads Policing Network (ROADPOL), is joining the 2026 anti-speeding enforcement action - the pan-European Speed Operation - culminating with the 24-hour Speed Marathon on Wednesday.

The ROADPOL Speed Marathon is a 24-hour synchronized pan-European enforcement campaign conducted by traffic police to combat excessive speeding.

The Ministry of Interior says the campaign aims to increase the drivers' awareness, the goal not being to punish but to save lives.
