Athens, 7 July 2026 (MIA) - A 24-year-old female Macedonian citizen was found dead on Monday in an apartment in Thessaloniki. According to information obtained by MIA’s Athens correspondent, her death is unlikely to be the result of foul play, though authorities are awaiting the official autopsy results to determine the cause of death.

The ANA-MPA state news agency reported that after family members were unable to reach the girl, a person close to her climbed to the second floor of the building and entered the apartment through the balcony door, where they found the 24-year-old showing no signs of life.

A forensic pathologist was called to the scene who, upon an external examination of the body, found no signs pointing to foul play.  

The exact circumstances and cause of death will be determined following an autopsy.
