Macedonian delegation attends International Conference on Financing for Development in Seville

Skopje, 30 June 2025 (MIA) - President Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova, Minister of Finance Gordana Dimitrieska-Kochoska and Deputy Minister of Environment and Physical Planning Ane Lashkoska are set to participate Monday in the 4th International Conference on Financing for Development (FfD4) held in Seville under the auspices of the United Nations.

President Siljanovska-Davkova is set to address the conference’s plenary session and meet with the Prime Minister of Spain, Pedro Sánchez.

The President attended an official reception on Sunday hosted by the King of Spain, Felipe VI, and Queen Letizia. 

Minister Dimitrieska-Kochoska is expected to address a roundtable discussion on “Leveraging Private Business and Finance” at the conference.

According to the President’s Office, the goal of the leaders’ meeting in Seville is to find solutions for the financial challenges in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals and the 2030 Agenda, as well as reform the international financial architecture and encourage investment from the private sector.

The conference, which will host over 50 heads of state and government, representatives of international organizations, businesses and civil society, is expected to result in a joint document.
