Skopje, 27 May 2025 (MIA) — Lawyers representing the families bereaved in the Kochani nightclub fire have started presenting evidence for the prosecution at the Kochani, Shtip and Skopje's prosecutor's offices, the Public Prosecutor's Office said Tuesday in a press release.

On May 24, the PPO said that the bereaved families' legal representatives, by giving statements before public prosecutors, would be able to exercise their rights as aggrieved parties and join the legal case.  

They will also be directly informed about the course of the proceedings, the PPO said.

In the past two days, in cooperation with volunteers from the Support Kochani organization, the PPO has contacted the bereaved to schedule the individual hearings. They will be held at the Kochani, Shtip and Skopje PPOs until May 29.

Prosecutors have also urged people who have any potential evidence related to the case to make it available by emailing istragakochani@jorm.mk.
