Tetovo, 14 May 2025 (MIA) - Following the departure of Arben Taravari’s Alliance for Albanians from the ruling coalition, the Health Ministry will continue to be held by VLEN and there are no negotiations about a cabinet reshuffle, Bilall Kasami, one of the leaders of VLEN, told journalists on Wednesday.
“The combinations that are being made in terms of the division of responsibilities for the Government’s leadership are being made with a political agreement, but also based on the capacities of certain parties in the ruling coalition. We requested the Health Ministry since Arben Taravari was a member of the [VLEN] coalition. He requested that ministry, and now with his departure we are ready to discuss similar combinations, but there are no negotiations within the Government about reshuffles at this moment. Unless a new situation emerges, VLEN will continue to hold all positions it has held so far,” Kasami said.
Another VLEN leader, Izet Mexhiti, who is also Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Environment and Physical Planning, told journalists the Government is stable following AA’s announced departure.
“While someone is concerned with how to make things easier for [DUI leader Ali] Ahmeti, we are saying and confirming that the Government is stable. A priority above all priorities for us are the citizens, the voters, and we are trying to be closer to them every day and to solve their problems, while others are thinking how to make things easier for Ahmeti,”
