Skopje, 17 October 2025 (MIA) – Ahead of 2025 local elections, the Interior Ministry is actively carrying out measures and activities within its scope of responsibility to ensure a safe and uninterrupted election process.

“Based on the conducted assessments and planned measures, police officers will be present near the polling stations and major traffic points on election day to ensure efficiency and timely detect any potential disturbances of public order. Citizen safety will be secured through standard equipment, mobile units, checkpoints, and the use of modern technology, including drones for aerial monitoring to enable faster response and action in case of incidents,” the Interior Ministry said in a press release.

Interior Ministry urges the citizens and the political parties to contribute to a peaceful and democratic election process, to follow police directions and to refrain from any actions that might disturb public order or the integrity of the voting process.

Interior Ministry stated that throughout election day, it will provide timely information to the public regarding the conduct of the electoral process.
