Inflation down 0.2% in September

Skopje, 7 October 2025 (MIA) - Inflation measured through the Consumer Price Index in September 2025, compared to August 2025, was -0.2%, according to data published by the State Statistical Office on Tuesday.

The decrease in inflation in September 2025, compared to August 2025, is the result of the decrease in the consumer prices in the following groups: Transport by 3.3%, Restaurants and hotels by 1.3%, Recreation and culture by 0.7%, Clothing and footwear by 0.3%, Miscellaneous goods and services by 0.2% and Food and non-alcoholic beverages by 0.1%.

In September 2025, compared to August 2025, an increase in the consumer prices was registered in the following groups: Alcoholic beverages, tobacco and narcotics by 2.8%, Communications by 1.8%, Furnishings, household equipment and routine household maintenance by 0.8%, Health by 0.4% and Housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels by 0.3%.

The consumer prices in the group Education remained at the same level as in the previous month.

The Retail Price Index in September 2025, compared to August 2025, was 99.3.

The Consumer Price Index in September 2025, compared to September 2024, increased by 4.0%, while the Retail Price Index increased by 4.1%.
