Skopje, 30 January 2026 (MIA) - Industrial production in December 2025, compared to the same month in 2024, increased by 2.3 percent, while industrial production in the whole of 2025, compared to the previous year, was up by 1.9 percent, the State Statistical Office said on Friday.

Industrial production in section Mining and quarrying in December decreased by 6.6%, in section Manufacturing it increased by 4.5%, while in section Electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply it decreased by 3.9%.

The increase in section Manufacturing is mostly due to increased production in the divisions: Manufacture of food products; Manufacture of beverages; Manufacture of rubber and plastic products; Manufacture of other non-metallic mineral products; Manufacture of motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers; and Manufacture of furniture.

Industrial production by Main Industrial Groupings in December was higher in Intermediate goods, except energy by 9.8% and Non-durable consumer goods by 2.4%, but lower in Energy by 3.9%, Capital goods by 0.8%, Durable consumer goods by 3.8%.
