Skopje, 29 August 2025 (MIA) -- Industrial production in July 2025 increased by 4.1% compared with July 2024, according to the latest figures released by the State Statistical Office.

Contributing the most to the increase in industrial production were manufacturers of electrical equipment (15.3%), manufacturers of machinery and equipment (4.6%) and manufacturers of motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers (26.5%).

Industrial production in Mining and Quarrying in July 2025, in comparison with July 2024, decreased by 10.4%; in Manufacturing, it increased by 7.0%; and in Electricity, Gas, Steam and Air Conditioning Supply, it decreased by 7.5%.

"The increase in the section Manufacturing is mostly due to increased production in the divisions:
- Manufacture of tobacco products,
- Manufacture of textiles,
- Manufacture of wearing apparel,
- Printing and reproduction of recorded media, 
- Manufacture of rubber and plastic products, 
- Manufacture of other non-metallic mineral products,
- Manufacture of fabricated metal products, except machinery and equipment,
- Manufacture of electrical equipment,
- Manufacture of machinery and equipment n.e.c.,
- Manufacture of motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers and
- Manufacture of furniture," the SSO release said.
