Vienna, 22 June 2025 (dpa/MIA) - The head of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Rafael Grossi, has convened a special meeting of the nuclear watchdog following the US attacks on nuclear facilities in Iran.

"In light of the urgent situation in Iran, I am convening an emergency meeting of the [IAEA] Board of Governors for tomorrow," Grossi wrote on the platform X on Sunday.

According to initial findings from the IAEA, no radiation was released outside the facilities during the attacks.

The US intervened in the war against Iran alongside Israel during the night, attacking three nuclear facilities. Among them was the well-fortified underground uranium enrichment site at Fordow.
