Skopje, 7 June 2025 (MIA) - The injured persons in the Kochani tragedy and their families will be able to communicate their demands and needs through a phone line 070 355 526 that the Government will open as of Monday-June 9.
"We are setting up the new phone line for direct communication, managed by the Prime Minister's Office, which will be active as of Monday, available 24/7 for the injured and their families," Government Spokeswoman Marija Miteva told a press conference on Sunday.
Spokeswoman Miteva said they urge all those injured and their families to call, state their requests, proposals and specific needs.
"This phone line will serve as a live communication channel for daily, weekly and monthly coordination and personalized approach," said Miteva.
She added that the activity comes as a result of the direct communication by the working group for evaluation of the injured, which was in close communication with the families and the medical teams over the past period.
"Urgent healthcare, mobilization of institutions, financial and logistical support were the steps undertaken thus far, but we are aware there are segments that are required on a consistent basis," noted Miteva.
According to her, these steps are made because the Government believes the support should not be a one-off, but a continued process.
Miteva noted that the Government is also considering further steps, such as an open office or improvement of conditions in the Kochani hospital, so that the injured would not have to come to the capital Skopje for various interventions.
