Skopje, 4 October 2025 (MIA) – Saraj will get a prefabricated parking lot at the Matka tourist site, lighting, reconstruction of the main street and many other projects will be also implemented, VMRO-DPMNE's candidate for mayor of Skopje, Orce Gjorgjievski, said Saturday.

“Today I’m among my people in one of the most beautiful places not only in Skopje and Macedonia, but also around the world – Saraj and Matka. This municipality will no longer be neglected. We’ll make utmost efforts for its revival and development,” Gjorgjievski wrote in Facebook post.

By constructing a prefabricated parking lot near the Matka tourist site, we will provide better parking conditions for local and foreign visitors, said the candidate

“We will reduce chaos and pressure on the natural environment, enable controlled management of tourist influx and create conditions for sustainable development of tourism in one of the most valuable natural pearls of Skopje,” said Gjorgjievski.

In Saraj, he also met with members of the associations of fishermen.
