Gashi, Stevanović reaffirm Slovenia's strong support for European path

Skopje, 28 April 2026 (MIA) - Parliament Speaker Afrim Gashi held an official meeting with the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Slovenia, Zoran Stevanović, in Ljubljana on Tuesday.
Talks reaffirmed excellent relations and stable partnership between North Macedonia and Slovenia, with a special emphasis on the need to intensify inter-parliamentary cooperation and build new bridges of cooperation in areas of common interest, the Parliament said in a press release.

Stevanović highlighted commitment to deepening cooperation between the two countries, reaffirming Slovenia's strong support for North Macedonia's European integration.
Gashi expressed gratitude for Slovenia's ongoing support for the reform process and European integration, pointing to the challenges and importance of advancing this process towards stability and development of the country and the region.
Interlocutors also highlighted the role of students as an important bridge between the two countries, which contributes to strengthening bilateral relations and building a common European future.
Gashi and Stevanović agreed to further boost partnership and cooperation between the two countries.
