Skopje, 29 August 2025 (MIA) — Parliament Speaker Afrim Gashi held Friday a farewell meeting with Ambassador of Switzerland Veronique Hulmann.

According to an official press release, Gashi thanked Hulmann for her contribution to strengthening friendly bilateral relations and to the parliamentary cooperation between the two countries. He highlighted the establishment and development of the Parliamentary Institute as a lasting legacy of her term in office.

He also thanked her for the continuous support Switzerland has provided to the country's European integration.

"Ambassador Hulmann said her mission in North Macedonia had been exceptionally successful, with numerous activities that resulted in positive changes, especially in the work of the Parliament and in the strengthening of its institutional capacities," the release said.

At the meeting, the Swiss ambassador expressed her hope that Parliament would keep working with the same commitment, capacity and consensus.

Gashi wished her further success in her diplomatic career, stressing that her dedication has left a lasting good impression on the relations between the two countries. mr/
