Skopje, 26 July 2025 (MIA) - On the sidelines of the Balkan Peace Platform meeting, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, Timcho Mucunski, met Saturday in Istanbul with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan.
The discussion focused on enhancing bilateral political relations, strengthening economic cooperation, and utilizing investment opportunities. The interlocutors also addressed deepening cooperation in other areas of mutual interest.
The two ministers reaffirmed the strong friendship between the two countries, close cooperation within NATO, and mutual support in multilateral organizations. The talks also covered current regional and geopolitical issues, with an emphasis on the importance of a stable and prosperous Balkans.
The meeting took place within the framework of the first Balkan Peace Platform meeting, initiated by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Türkiye, Hakan Fidan.
